WAYNE BRIDGE SINGLES OUT CHELSEA’S BEST PLAYER AGAINST FULHAM

Wayne Bridge has singled out Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount for special praise in the role he played as Chelsea secured a narrow 1-0 victory in their Premier League clash over Fulham. The midfielder was in fine form and scored the only goal in the second half of the game as he helped his side secure a much-needed win that took off some pressure from manager Frank Lampard.


Despite Fulham being reduced to 10 men, they were still resilient and gave Chelsea lots of troubles. They also proved to be a tough team to break down with their excellent defensive showing. Their defensive resilience was so strong that it took Chelsea 78 minutes to finally break the deadlock through a Mason Mount’s well-taken strike.

England International Mount came close to opening the scoring in the first half after hitting the bar with a spectacular shot but was again the man that stood up to his team’s rescue as he went again in the second half.

And Bridge, who was impressed with Mount’s showing has heaped loads of Praises on the Chelsea midfielder.

Bridge was speaking on Sky Sports where he said that it is the right decision that Mount is one of the first names that make it to the team sheet. He said there are probably three or four names that are confirmed starters in the Chelsea team and that Mount is the best if then all.

The win over Fulham saw Chelsea climb up to seventh place in the Premier League. They are now six points behind second-placed City who have a game in hand. The star if the show, Mount, said after the game that he was happy to score the goal and admitted that it was a huge game going into the fixture and he was happy to have played a part in helping the team the best way he could.
